A Little Treat after a Tiring Day

I'm not exactly sure why I'm sooooooooooo tired tonight, must just be the pregnancy. The boys let me sleep in until about 8 which was wonderful. Then Daddy took us to Super Target. The boys were about a 7/8 on the bad behavior scale - throwing binkies and sippy cups and Johnny pulling Jacob's leg over his head. John made a comment along the lines of "I now see how hard it is to take them shopping", which was nice to hear. I did get about an 1 1/2 nap this afternoon, but ever since I woke up I've been pretty much couch bound. So after I got Jacob to bed I decided to get out by myself for a treat. I stopped at Walgreen's for my favorite ice cream, Ben and Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk, and proceeded to eat the whole thing in the parking lot. That's allowed since I'm now 8 months pregnant, right?

My New Baby

Since 3 car seats would not fit in the back of either my Civic or John's truck we decided months ago that we would need to get a mini van. I was very excited about a new car, especially after this past summer. If you have ever had a Civic they are great on gas mileage, but the AC is awful! We spent Tuesday at the Honda and Toyota dealerships deciding between the Odyssey and the Sienna. I really thought that I'd want the Sienna more, since it has that nifty front and center middle seat in the 2nd row, but I was wrong. I like all of the different ways we can rearrange the seats in the Odyssey for when the kids start growing out of their car seats. I feel dorky saying this but, I love my new mini van! The boys are getting a kick out of it too. In fact, if I wasn't soooooooo pregnant I would love to road trip it up to Vegas to see my sister. Now I just have to keep it clean. :)

OB Appointment

At my OB appointment yesterday my blood pressure was starting to go up a little - 128/80. They had me lay on my side and when they rechecked it went down to 110/70. I'm a little concerned because with Johnny my blood pressure started going up around week 35 and I had to be induced at 38 weeks. Other than that everything is normal. I'm still not dilating, but my nurse wants me to stay on restricted activity. I go in next Tuesday to have my blood pressure checked again.

After my appointment my mom and I took the boys to a park by her house. There was a lake across the street so we went to feed the ducks. This was the first time for the boys and they thought it was the neatest thing ever. :)

I think Jacob has now entered the "Terrible Twos". He started having full on tantrums yesterday and hitting Johnny. It's time to break out the tougher discipline.
